Campus Safety Communication Application

UC Santa Cruz utilizes the Everbridge Mobile Application to notify faculty, staff, and students about campus safety alerts and and emergency information.

Register and/or Update your Contact Information 

The Everbridge Mobile Application is a free service available to everyone with a ucsc.edu e-mail account. Please register for and/or update your contact information by visiting the Campus Notifications website. Having your latest contact information in our notification system is the only way to ensure we can quickly communicate with you in an emergency. Once registered, the mobile application is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.


Installing, Registering for Alerts

  • Open “Appstore” on an iOS device or “Playstore” on an Android device.
  • Search for “Everbridge” and download Everbridge Mobile Application.
  • Register with your user ID and password.

Logging in with Single Sign-On

  • Open the Everbridge Mobile Application and tap “Find an organization or subscription”.
  • Type in “UC Santa Cruz” or “University of California Santa Cruz” or “UCSC”.
  • Enter your UCSC Single Sign-On credentials and complete security authentication to login. 

View Notifications

  • Notifications can be viewed from the “Feed” page. Simply tap a notification.
  • Some notifications may require you to confirm whether or not you received the message.

 Using Safety Features

  • Open the Everbridge Mobile App and tap on the shield icon at the bottom right.
  • Tap on each or appropriate safety buttons to make use of the safety features.

911Emergency Call button that, when pressed, will dial emergency dispatch to request assistance.
Non-emergency CallNon-Emergency phone line to the UCSC PD Dispatch Center for reporting past-tense incidents or accessing lockout service
Emergency ProceduresIncident-based emergency procedures from a bomb threat to a utility failure.
Slug Support Crisis LineReceive immediate food or housing support from SlugSupport via their Crisis Line.
University NewsStay on top of University news and events, including important messages from campus administration.
